Oh my dear blog readers, I'm sure you have missed me. Your minds were probably filled with questions such as: "Sara, where are you?," and "What's going on in the exciting lives of Jeremy and Sara?!?" Well, do not fear my friends...we were on vacation for 8 days and now were are back!
Now, this wasn't just any vacation...this was "Jayla and Saremy's Vacation 2009!" It was the start of our annual vacation that we're going to take together, and this trip was 8 fun-filled days in So Cal. Since we did so much on our vacation, I'm going to be breaking it into multiple blog posts. Here we go...
Driving to the airport and on the plane.
To start things off, last Tuesday morning, we flew from Prescott to Los Angeles for the first day of our vacation. Once we arrived in LA, we proceeded to our hotel and were able to check into our room at 8:30am. I still find this odd, but I guess that's one of the perks of being a Hilton Honors member. Anyway, this first day of vacation was just a "chill" day. So, we hung out at the hotel until lunch time. By "hung out," I mean that we watched airplanes. The Hilton LAX is right in the flight path of airplanes landing at LAX. Being the "aviation people" that we are, we spent most of the morning listening to the tower at LAX, through Jake's radio-thingy, and watched airplanes land. Boring to most...but surprisingly, entertaining to us.
Listening to the radio and watching airplanes.
After a few hours of plane watching, we decided to head over to In-N-Out Burger for lunch. It wasn't too far from our hotel, so we decided to take a nice walk over there, where we ate our delicious burgers and continued to watch the airplanes land.
Yum! Cheeseburger, animal style.
Once we finished lunch, we walked back to the hotel and just relaxed for the afternoon. That evening, we went to The Proud Bird for dinner. This is a restaurant right by LAX and it just so happens to be the place that Jayla got engaged and married. Awwww!

Following dinner, we proceed to a LA Laker game. This is was very interesting event. First of all, none of us are Laker fans, but we thought it'd be fun to go. In fact, I'd even go so far to say that Jeremy and I hate the Lakers and Kobe Bryant. Secondly, people in LA are just plain scary. We were all scared to root against the Lakers or even mention something not so nice about Kobe because we thought we might get jumped. Therefore, most of the game was spent in silence. Jeremy summed up the evening when he turned to me and said, "I'm scared." Needless to say, I don't think any of us will be returning to a Laker game. Though it was rather scary, there was one positive about the game: during the "kiss-cam," (where it shows couples on the jumbo-tron and they're supposed to kiss) they showed Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson! Jack was busy talking but Adam saw them on the "kiss-cam," so he grabbed Jack and kissed him! It was very funny.

Jerm, Jake, Kayla and scary, tattooed man.
Well, that wraps up Day 1 of our vacation! Stay tuned because there are more fun-filled days to follow.

Oooh, I'm excited. I love vacations.
I love that you guys did plane watching. I'm easily entertained, so I think I would like it too.
I've never had an In and Out burger...
I don't like basketball or the Lakers, so I wouldn't have fit in either.
I would of been afraid a plane would land on the hotel or something, haha cause I'm silly like that. Can't wait to see more.
